Donovan’s Dairying is located 30km south of Mount Gambier in south-east South Australia. Jo is the herd manager of the 2200 cow dairy farm that mainly consists of Holstein Friesian. At Donovan’s Dairy, we calve twice a year. Our Autumn calving (late Jan to early April) we calve around 850 cows and 200 heifers and in Spring (Aug-Oct) we calve 950 cows and 450 heifers.

Our farm goals are to boost the overall herd health, to reduce the amount of lameness in the herd and to help heifers transition into the herd more easily.
