Carlie Barry, her husband Owen and their 5 daughters are dairy farmers in South West Victoria. Milking up to 600 predominantly Stud Jersey cows over 2 farms, they have also diversified the farm business in the last 12 month by selling paddock to plate beef direct to the consumer. Overall they are running 1000 head over 1300 acres.
They are in organic conversion and plan to be fully certified by July 2021.
Working with their Virbac/Multimin rep, their focus will be on improving the growth rate and immune response of young stock, and the fertility of their replacement heifers and milking cows.
